Coils can freeze due to over-pressurization of the HVAC system.

To prevent over-pressurization of the HVAC system, we started off by designing a vent that allows more airflow than a traditional register, so that we lower the static pressure out of the gate. More importantly, each of the vents has sensors that measure several variables in the duct and sends this information to the control hub in real-time. That information is analyzed to ensure that the system never closes off so many vents that the pressure reaches a level that would risk damage to the compressor or blower.
